Born in Newport Beach and raised in Orange County, Watts has become one of the quiet

cornerstones of Southern California's contemporary music scene through his work with

American Slang, Sylvie, and Michael Collin’s psychedelic soft rock project,

Drugdealer. Blending the lyricism of classic American songwriters with the grit of Bakersfield

country and the soulful piano traditions of Leon Russell and Dr. John, his music feels both

timeless and unmistakably contemporary.
